What makes camp so special is that we do “stuff!” Special stuff. Creative stuff. Silly stuff. Exciting stuff. Fun stuff!

You would hardly know we are teaching lifelong skills when kids are getting to do all this fun stuff! Getting messy at “Filthy Friday,” sliding on the wet mat during “Wet’n’Wild,” and cheering on a favorite counselor wrestling in Jell-O during “Colemania” are just a few of the things that make camp so special.

There is an inside knowledge here – a sense of loyalty and shared purpose, a celebration of who we are. It is so extraordinary that it seems like magic.

Our jam-packed schedule keeps everyone on the move! Whether it is a first lap across the pool, bottle-feeding a calf, or catching an elusive frog – kids can be themselves, “let go,” and have fun at camp.

When children feel they have freedom within clear limits, they develop an instinctive belief that the risks are reasonable and that the goals are attainable. Everything is learning by doing – hands-on, heads-up! At Coleman Country, children feel safe, children thrive and, most importantly, children have more fun that we could ever even describe!
