Coleman Country Campers Get In The Swim
Whether they are getting comfortable putting their head underwater, mastering the front crawl, or attaining Guard Start status, Coleman Country campers love having the opportunity to swim twice daily (one instructional, one free swim) in our three sparkling, temperature-controlled pools. Swimming is at the core of a Coleman Country summer. As campers progress through our American Red Cross swim program, their self-confidence soars alongside their swimming skills!
More than 50 Nassau County certified lifeguards and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors form teaching clusters according to camper ability. Instructors work with the same children until they have completed their lessons. Timid swimmers are respected; however, they are skillfully encouraged by our mature, professional swim staff. Each camper’s achievements are recorded so parents may be informed of progress.
Campers also can make a splash enjoying exciting water thrills zipping down our waterslides, splashing around at our water and sand park, or playing a game of water volleyball or water polo. Facilities include locker rooms with dressing areas, secured cubbies, showers, and lavatories adjacent to the pools. We also provide swimsuit and towel service in our adjoining laundry.
