49ers

While younger campers are exposed to all activities so that they can make enlightened choices later in life, older campers augment their own days to create optimal fun and personal skills enrichment. Campers design portions of their own program.

A typical day for the 49ers includes a variety of activities as well as daily and weeklong blocks of time dedicated to the pursuit of electives – Selective and Club periods. The enhanced program feature is undoubtedly one of the reasons our senior campers say, “Coleman Country gets better every year!”

Professional coaches and trainers are available for those who want to strengthen their know-how in soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball; STEM courses are offered in robotics, and coding; creative arts encompass chorus, drama production, woodworking, crafts, dance, and set design.

Special events exclusively for 49ers — extending camp hours — include a Broadway show, Mets game, Great Adventure and Splish Splash, and in-camp extravaganzas such as the “Battle of the 49ers.” There is a sleepover at camp, inclusive of evening swim, roasted marshmallows, and a campfire. All 49ers venture outside the Coleman Country grounds on appealing weekly day trips, and they can also take part in our incredible optional overnight excursions! Find out more about 49ers trips.
