Entering First and Second Grades

Scouts

A Scout’s typical day on The Ranch includes all available activities and incorporates all facets of camp life. Scouts take on new challenges and adventures, investigate their stretch zones, and sharpen evolving skills and friendships.

All campers participate in creating a Code of Living for their group that promotes tolerance and kindness toward all members. Staff model these behaviors consistently, and the themes of caring and friendship are laced throughout the program.

Second graders have a Club period each day when they can concentrate in a program area of personally selected interest. Clubs provide a chance for in-depth focus in favorite activities and allow campers to make choices and practice ownership of their decisions.

“Coleman Country is so much more than a summer camp. It is actually more than a place. The Coleman family does such an amazing job of bringing out the best in each child by getting to know everyone on a personal level. My kids talk about Coleman all year long. Any kid that can go should.”
